I saw it, and have some advice. See if you can smooth out the continuity between the larger jumps. Some of the notes are printed smaller, and seem not to be part of the intended solo line; but I hear them being played on both the flute transcription
and the organ prelude.
The choral melody is in the left hand. I also found the 645 with singing:
Bach incorporated the melody from Cantata BWV 140. Here is a recording. Click on the watch on YouTube prompt:
Despite the stumbles, you handle the key of Eb well. It's not beyond your skill level; you'll rise to it and learn from it. You can ignore the slurs. That'll help smooth things out. And it might be worth listening to the flutetunes recording of the solo flute.

Thanks for the advice, Tom. I really appreciate it. For the smaller notes I merely tried to play softer. They might be there to avoid gaps when playing solo. It is easy to run through the slower parts and then stumble on the faster runs. I also left out some of the marked trills. Only went for the A trills at this stage, but for the flute there were more indicated.
This is probably the most ambitious piece I have tried to tackle.
It's in Eb, but some of the A and B notes are natural and some of the C and F notes are sharp. It sounds like you play the same thing over and over but actually there are variations all the way through. Not like the folk music I like to play. AABB and repeat!

Leaving out trills that are awkward or difficult or downright impossible is always an option. I should have also mentioned using alternate F (blow) and C (draw) to smooth out lines. For instance, you have several places in measures 5 and 6 to choose from. And this key on this piece gives ample opportunity to play most or all of the grace notes and trills authentically using the alternate F and C. This is a great study piece.

There was a thread somewhere on SlideMeister about tunes that use every note of the chromatic scale. I can't find that thread now. Looking over this score (Bach, BWV 140) while checking off the 12 tones of the chromatic scale, I discovered that this piece does use every note at least once. No wonder I'm struggling with it.

This is an experiment. I am trying to imitate some fiddle type ornaments on this old time fiddle tune. It seems to work OK, but not in the key that the fiddle players actually use for this tune!
