Here is a much better approach
than the one linked above, from the standpoint of re-tuning an existing harp. Only five reeds need to be altered.

This would work on a Solo-tuned (not Orchestra-tuned) slide or non-slide harp that has either 12 or 16 holes.

Very interesting. I have been working on something similar a while ago. It is interesting to accompany. It costs to incorporate the scales at the beginning but it's not a big deal, you lose octaves, but you gain chords.
I think that in one of 16 the chords sound fuller than in the eighth low of one of 12.
I can not find recorded things to compare and decide. It would be necessary to develop more the technique of lingual blockade to squeeze the melodic and accordic possibilities.
