Basics that are hard to get back

Way back I got told to get an embrochure and a throat vibrato. Ok. I played, practiced, worked it out to whatever degree. Ended up with 5 years off. Started again this year. Two things really sucked: exhaledbend and inhaled throat vibrato. The bend is slowly coming around, the inhaled throat vibrato was completely gone. Months.

So here we go. Glottal stop, release, again, again, etc. avoid cold drinks. Continue. Slowly work the stop into a squeeze. Very slow. It is going to stink for awhile. Oh well. Sooner or later.

So, if you are learning, learning something new, or relearning, it’s all good.

I've always had a decent natural throat vibrato, early on when learning to play flute. Transfered to harmonica easily. Inhale is a different story. It did come, eventually, but it took a long time to feel natural. Two things seemed to help: Stop thinking about it, And play an airtight harmonica.
