His voice is so soothing! The religious part of his background comes through huge in this song. The "King" who they are preparing the streets for with "shiny things" is obviously Jesus. And ... sure ... that King wasn't interested in being the center of attention and being among those who had no need. He wanted to be taken to the alley, where he could minister to and be among the afflicted. Sneaky, ain't it?
That's the first time I heard that guy sing. Wow! Great voice. Strangely reminiscent of Johnny Hartman.

Brorat: those who know can read into it and between the lines but you are NOT allowed to bring religion - or politics onto the main site. Prayermeister is for that. We have people from all Countries and of all faiths here and it's one of Age's cardinal rules, despite his own religious background. The rules are for everyone.scotty

Again, I love the guy's voice, but as far as "religiosity" goeth, ~I~ thought the "message" was something between cryptic and shallow. If it were to make the preacher in me say "Amen!," I know I wouldda had to pull it, but it didn't, so I didn't. Since I'm personally a bigger fan of the kind of message that makes folks squirm, than I am, the the "nice thoughts/positive energy/ warm & fuzzy" stuff, it totally went right under my radar.
He will be coming to a theater in Brooklyn in 2023That should be a great show!
