After about a week of not being able to figure out why I couldn''t get any sound out of the sound system I finally hot it going. All new wires and another computer. Now working on getting it balanced.

No, it's a real pain in the butt but it has some really good points.
Cheaper than a band, practices whenever you want it to, isn't jealous, you don't have to buy it a beer or blow smoke about what a good job it does or share tips.

I dunno., I think I kinda like tracks. Heck even iReal is okay, cuz it leaves plenty of "air space" in the backup and never gets too busy so the harmonica has no problem laying right on top of the mix.

Yeah, while we don't wanna "blow the backup away" we still wanna be what the audience listens to. That's why I prefer the simpler stuff behind me. Unless you're "Toots" or somethin, if the backup's too "big," it makes the Chromatic sound like a little toy.

That's why I gravitate more to just a basic rhythm section than a big orchestra.

OK! My car is pretty much packed. I packed for DannyG's party and a week with my family at the beach. I'll drive to Alliance tomorrow, see all at the party on Friday and Saturday, and then Sunday I'll drive to Myrtle Beach. Janet and I have rented a beach house, and we'll have all five kids, their spouses, and all 8 grandkids for the week. Sounds like a really fun combination of music and family fun to me.

Hope to see LOTS of you at Danny's on Friday.

Great time at DannyG’s! I left Alliance at 7:45am. Drove til I arrived at Garden City Beach SC. Roughly 700 miles…one stop in Wytheville VA for gas and bathroom stop. Arrived at the beach and joined family at 6:00pm.
Many many thanks to Danny, Linette, Bruce and all who had a hand in the festivities. My lips won’t be healed for a week!

I had a great time at Danny’s party again. I think this was my 13th year going and each was great fun. Always good visiting with old friends, making new ones and having the best jams anywhere. Several friends were not present and missed.

Many thanks to Danny, Linette, Bruce as well as all contributors for having annual get together to promote harmonica music. This is one weekend I look forward to for 51.6 weeks every year.

AJ I think I musta got a miracle or something. Maybe it doesn’t like Ohio? I took it out today and, viola! It worked just fine. I don’t get it. I think I’ll like it when I get it sighted in. FYI, it’s a Sig Sauer 1911 semi CO2 BB pistol. It wont compare with my new Walther CP88 semi pellet pistol. Maybe next year I’ll bring a sling shot that shouldn’t break.

Yeah, and the reason that 400E quit after 200 rounds was cuz the battery died. Usta go about 500 rnds per charge. Guess it's time for a new battery, eh?

Danny’s parties are special and I look forward to going again this year, 2025. This will be my fourteenth I think.

For those who do not know Danny G and his annual party please do consider going if at all possible. Danny and Linette are wonderful friends and hosts with open arms to all. Neighbor friend, Bruce, shares his property along with showers and a huge dry building to hang out in. There are no strangers, for long. You will not regret the miles and time it may cost you. I promise! We always have outstanding jams, fellowship with friends, make new friends, stage performances, talent contest, and more yummy food than one can hope for. There may be some BB guns if you’re into safe shooting out back. Probably a big bon fire to congregate around at night. The atmosphere is laid back, easy going and fun. Camping spaces are abundant with some having electricity. Shady trees are abundant to help combat Ohio’s summer heat. There’s also an air conditioned building where I’m often found.

You may think I’m overstating how much I enjoy going but actually I could go on for several paragraphs easily. Only one more thought here…. IT’S FREE

I'll echo Larry's comments! This will only be my fourth time at the party, but it's always fun! I'm driving up from SC along with my grandson, Davis. He and I are STOKED about being there! It's just a laid-back good time. Please join us if you can! See you there!!
