So I am on the road, and brought along this 10 hole diatonic Seydel Blues Session Steel that Jim Antaki built for me as a TurboSlide.
I think I ordered it from him as a Major Cross, but retuned the top end to Power Chromatic.
Here’s the tuning.
A C# E G B D E G B D
That’s blow.
B D F# A C# E F# A C# E
That’s draw.
The “button” engages magnets that bend the blow notes, for a Hawaiian kind of sound— and enables full chromaticity.
This video is from eight years ago, it’s demonstrating the one I have in G, but it gives you an idea of the concept.
