I did NOT know that- so thanks for cluing me in! - Wow, so how can you not then play Peg using it? I understand that you perceive it as not a good opening number --so don't open with it --but if you're doing at least a couple of songs, then maybe fit 'some of' Peg into a medley? It would be immensely cool IF one of you then stepped forward to explain what you've just did: that this was 'THE' chord played by Al Fiore and used to record that song, I can assure you that a Buckeye audience would be thrilled!Elizabeth (scotty)

It would be immensely cool IF one of you then stepped forward to explain what you've just did: that this was 'THE' chord played by Al Fiore and used to record that song, I can assure you that a Buckeye audience would be thrilled!Elizabeth (scotty)just a quick comment about openers, based on years of doing all kinds of different gigs:the job of an opening song is to energize the audience and to let the performers get into the groove for that particular session. it wants to be up tempo, kinda flashy, but not real challenging technically. this is true if the session is to be 15 minutes or 50 minutes.the job of an opening act is to get folks to sit down and shut up. this is a MUCH harder proposition, especially if are a lot of friends getting together or there is a bar around. the opening act has got to hit the audience with energy and flash to get their attention away from chatting and doing whatever else they're doing.opening acts usually only get 15 or 20 minutes, which translates to 3 or 4, maybe even 5 songs. serenades and ballads don't really work in those short acts.as i understand it, aj, carl and george will be the opening act. break a leg guys!ip
Buckeye has always been a fun and entertaining festival..sorry Valerie and I will not be going.. to much of life needs to take a priority but hopefully next year. Wally
