Yeah, that's one of the "phew" things I like about the CX; that textured button. :)

Not necessary. Cut a disk of sandpaper (about 130 grit), glue onto button.

This one ain't too "grippy" but it's still my favorite. 8)

Actually, for me, they don't really hafta be all that grippy; I personally like a big one like the one on an Amadeus, but I could never afford to even look at one of those puppies
