thanks in advance for some sage answers....

can we all get this "income tax" thing?

inquiring minds........

Humph, furriners (I used to be one, lol)
IRS....is "some kind of government project"...actually that's a neat way of phrasing it.  'Course the people who originally populated this land came here precisely to get away from "taxation without representation", so your guess is as good as mine as to why they require such a large piece of our individual pies (given the current quality of our "representation") imho, of course :)  For a long time I've thought they should just assign me a family to support in full.  It could hardly be more costly.

2) "getting money back"...alas, it's mere pennies on the dollar of what we've already paid out and even THAT is taxed again as "income refund" the next year (can't win for losing, in other words).

3) "where does it come from?"  ...out of our hides ;) (or...the hard-working American man/woman who slogs to work every day).

4)  "Can we all get this 'income tax' thing?"  SURE!  I'll gladly send you mine.  :)  The only criteria is that you have to take the current administration along with it...sounds like a fair trade to me, wot?

(All in fun, folks)
