S.o.S.:
Aside from the all the cool features of this forum, the owner can now actually control it. A big thumbs up here !

(Still waiting for my new gold CX 12.)

I might have mentioned this earlier, but the gold cover
on my gold CX12 did break at one end where the rear spring plate
connects to it. Seemed like it just pulverized. Don't have
that cover any more so can't check to see if it is made
of diferent material than the black ones.
I am sooo lazy.
I just play it with a black cover now.

They are a different color inside, off-white instead of black. It may still be the same type of material (ABS plastic I believe). My white one is painted, not plated, and black underneath.
I'll probably be doing some switching around to see how the thicker reedplates sound in different housings, and how the Tenor sounds with the gold.
Still no word, though …

I'm really curious about you're opinion on the Gold since you like your black one so much.

Gnarly He Man:
I've got three CX-12s--a tenor C and G in black, and the gold C. No doubt about it, the gold one is worth the extra scoot.

Oh, and this forum is great! Thanks Age (and Gabe--happy B-day)
