BanterMeister / Re: Apple's Ventura 🤮

I'm kicking around the idea of getting a 1TB external SSD and installing Monterey on it along with nothing but Mac stuff that won't cause any hiccups, like some kinda suite that's outlook'esque, since LibreOffice hangs up on both Ventura and Monterey. I might try going "Mac purist" on this machine, you know, Safari, Mac Mail and like that before I ditch the whole thing and either go back to my PC, or try Linux in it just for giggles.

Chromatic Stuff / Re: Beginner – Problem with Hole 2 on Chromatic Harmonica

Hi Ozzy - You mentioned when you cover your nose while playing 2-blow you get a better result. Try playing 2-blow while simultaneously exhaling through your nose. You may notice that you get a better sounding note this way. The same thing can work with difficult draw notes, but you would be inhaling through your nose in that case. Another thing you can try is adjusting the volume of your mouth when you're playing by slightly lowering your jaw when playing the problematic note.

I'd like to try it, even though I don't think I could do it, cuz since that's sorta like multi-tasking, and my ADHD won't let me do that. If I try to do two musical things and the same time, my brain locks up, and everything stops. :P

I stumbled across this YouTube video of a guy named Chuck Rejto.  Apparently, Chuck is an accomplished musician who lives in Rhode Island.  I'm not familiar with him, but I thought the setup he has for "hands free" is really interesting!  Just a mechanical linkage with a cable to a foot pedal.  Pretty cool!

Nice adaptation, the mechanism remembers me the accelerator pedal of a carburetored motor. You know, that steel cable, which once my uncle had to improvise with a cotton string when it tears apart in the middle of nowhere. What a coordination, he pulled with the left arm outside the window while changing the gear with the right one. Just 1 and 2 gear, enough to get to the nearest town...

I've done something like that myself!  Ah ... ingenuity!! :D

Guy from Virginia, traveling through Ohio, buys a box of Titleist golf balls at a sporting goods store. The clerk asks "Would you like these shipped to your home address?" and the guy says, "Nah, I'll drive them home!"

Age's Page / Welcome Spammers! (Yeah right🙄)

I'm trying a new policy: letting the SPAMMERS join the forum. ::)
Many of the same SPAMMERS keep coming back after I reject them and send them emails telling them so. It just shows me that they don't like to read the rejection letters, but they just like to SPAM. Soooo, I started just letting them in. As far as I can tell, I pulled all their teeth. I gave them a "SPAMMER" designation, (that grants them absolutely zero privileges - posting or otherwise - they can't even quit unless I let them) assigned them zero  posting credits and changed their passwords just to make sure. Maybe this way, some of them will quit being such a pain in the cheeks. Let's see how that works. ;)
