Still in the learning curve. There are places where people get too close to their mic, maybe a bad internet connection or two, and when you see someone who isn't playing, they forgot to mute.

With you keeping an eye on the gallery view you can mute anyone who forgets to do it. That way we get some decent full screen video. I've deleted the first video from my cloud account.

I agree, you do need a new web cam. It's not necessary to break the bank but you need a 1080 pixel camera. The one I have is a cheap Logitec from Amazon.

I recorded myself on Zoom to test some audio settings and saw how the lighting on the recording is so horrible!
So…just ordered an inexpensive 1080 p from Amazon. Hopefully I can install it by Thursday.

Good thing to mention here is that you can also turn your audio and video off and be a "fly on the wall" like some have already. No one will pressure you to play if you don't want to. We're officially a "low pressure zone."

I'm headed out of town for the remainder of the week, so I won't be able to join in the Thursday afternoon Zoom session.
I'm really sorry I won't be there. I was working on N. Rimsky-Korsakov's "Flight of the Bumblebee" and Mozart's "Sonata No. 11 in A Major" to play for you ... but I guess they'll have to wait.

(Just kidding! I can barely listen fast enough for those two, much less play them!

You should be getting an invitation any second now. Yeah, I know the time isn't on there. You guys all know it's at 4 o-clock; I just wanna see if anyone actually writes and asks about the time. If I don't get any inquiries, I'll discontinue the newsletters and we'll just talk about it here and on the main site. Folks get enough spam and junk mail as it is; I don't ever wanna be a pest.
