Finished just now? I tried to connect at around 7:00 pm, but I was the only one there. Just checking to see if I have done something wrong (I connected from the link in your email).
Sorry I missed it.

Did you use:

Yes, that is where the link in the newsletter is sending me to.
Not sure what happened next: I launched Zoom and supposedly joined the meeting, but I was the only one. Since it was already around 7:00 PM, I thought it might have ended earlier and after a couple of minutes I left.
Anyways, the mistake was surely mine. Do not worry.

Yeah, fun meeting! (as usual)
We need more people though. We only had what? Like nine?  I dunno. I'd like to see at least 25 people or more there.

I'd like to have a few more people too but our participants get more personal attention than
they would in a group of 25 or more. Now they have the opportunity of playing 2 or more times in each session. as well as have time to ask and answer questions. I attend the Harmonica UK open mic sessions when I remember when they're scheduled. A lot of fun but with a full screen of participants everyone usually gets in one tune and
 since it's over in an hour there's not a lot of Q & A.

I’m with Danny. I’d love more folks to join in!  However, I think about a dozen participants would be a sweet spot.  If we’re lucky enough to get that many routinely, maybe we could consider a second session during the week. Group A and Group B if you will.
In any case, we’ll do our best to attract more folks and cross the “how to manage” bridge when we get to it😱

Yeah you're probably both right.  :) but I don't think I could squeeze two sessions a week into my schedule. :P

Full disclosure:  I realize this is probably not the right place to post this, but since our Zoom folks have often brought up the subject of backing tracks, I decided to start here.

I stumbled across a website this morning that has a number of backing tracks.  They're in the same basic format as you would see on iReal Pro.  Most songs listed have a couple of variations that can be used.  I'm still trying to see if they can somehow be "cut and pasted" into iReal, but ... nothing so far.

I'm thinking we could record them directly from the website using a DAW such as Audcacity.  Once you have it recorded (speaking strictly about Audacity now), the key and beat can be modified to some extent.  Then, they can be exported as WAV or MP3, etc. to wherever you want.  In my case, I'd export them to my little mp3 player, and I then would play them through my amp via bluetooth.  In any case, lots have been wondering about where to find some backing tracks, and this site has a few hundred ... with lots of jazz standards among them.

After looking a bit more, this is a single site that compiles tracks from YouTube recordings from different sources.  If you click on the right place while listening to the track, it actually takes you to the YouTube version ... for what that's worth.

Here's the URL.  Not much info on the site, but it's easy to use.

ZOOMER today at 4 PM (my time). Get there easily from the main site (one click)

Tommy Stryker's got gigs in Maui, so he won't be there, but there should be plenty of others there to make a lotta noise. ;D

thoroughly enjoyed all the banter & playing. Unfortunately I went to practice today & found all my harmonica's had the slides sticking. I had an incident where I was hospitalized for a couple days & they sat too long. have to do some maintenance.

Great to have ya bro!
I L-O-V-E our Zoom meetings!
The problem is that most folks think they gotta be perfect players to participateI. Naah! Just show up and play, talk or just be a fly on the wall. I'll bet just being a fly on the wall, you're gunna learn something.

Every time we finish one, I start counting the days till the next one

This is for PJ and others who use iPhone or iPad for our Zoom sessions. It’s a video that explains how to enable “Original Sound for Musicians”. Pretty simple once you see this. Here’s the link:

Yeah, like I always said, these girls not only need lovin' and constant attention, but they can even get cranky when they don't get it, ::) (and yeah, I see that as a good thing ;D) Pull one out of a drawer that you haven't played months and don't be surprised when they pout, and don't perform very well. Play them for an hour or so and sure enough, they're back to their old beautiful sounding selfs.  These's a two sided lesson in there, but I sure ain't gunna go into it ;D
