Hi Guys, Sorry about my abrupt departure from yesterdays meeting, not sure what the problem was, I know that my internet went down, albeit briefly, but I was unable to re-connect. I do know that my computer has objected to Zoom on past occasions and just shut down without warning. In any event hope to see everyone next week.

BTW, I found the natural latex tubing for bumpers on Amazon.
10’ of 1/16” ID x 1/8” OD for about $8.
Think I’ll buy some. It’s also great for slingshots😂😂

How'd the Zoomer go? Barbara and I tried to log on a couple minutes before 6 to say "Hi," but by the time I got my locked up monitor unlocked, it was a few minutes after 6, so we just went upstairs and finished our pizza.

Oh yeah, i told my kid I was ordering a pizza and he told me who to ask for when I called to order. Then, real quick, he called the owner of the pizza shop that he's singlehandedly kept in business for the last 20 years, and told them it was our sixtieth anniversary, so when I got there, they wouldn't take my money. Instead, he handed me my pizza, said "This is on the house, Happy Anniversary, now get outta my shop!"

Wow! If I knew that was coming, I wouldda added a pepperochinis and anchovies.

I read somewhere that Adolf Hitler started DST to boost production in Germany's munition plants. $:-\$

Think it was Dave who described DST this way: "It's like cutting off a foot from the bottom of a blanket and then sewing it to the top so you'll be warmer!"

"DST was first implemented in the US with the Standard Time Act of 1918, a wartime measure for seven months during World War I in the interest of adding more daylight hours to conserve energy resources. Year-round DST, or "War Time", was implemented again during World War II."

I was born in winter1943 at 4 am during WWII's DST implementation. Which is 3 am "slow time." Not taken into consideration, it could mess up my astrological chart (if I actually believed in that stuff).

So much for Hitler "starting" DST. He may have implemented it, but he didn't "start" it.

Dairy farmers are said to ignore DST. When it comes to milking, "Cows can't tell time."

Since it's all made up anyway, I personally would like to see year round DST in the US. At least that way I wouldn't feel like it's bedtime in the winter until about 9 instead of 8

I’m tired of figuring out how to reset our clocks in the house and cars twice yearly. It’s easier adjusting our iPads and watches though.
Last week I had a new prescription I had to take on schedule three times daily. Last week we drove over 3,600 miles traveling from West Virginia thru Kentucky, Texas, New Mexico, Colorado and a few states returning home. Three time zones messed with my mind as well as my medicine schedule.

Yeah, when Barbara and I traveled (during my ministry) she always got sick going west, and I always got queasy coming back (east) I'm sure if (for example) I ever went to Europe, I'd hafta get there a couple days early to give my "internals" time to get dialed in.

Good session yesterday! The "hardcore" group is great, and it would be even better to have others join the fun.

Some asked about the song I played yesterday called "Exactly Like You". It's a Jimmy McHugh song from about 1930. I heard Diana Krall sing/play it in one of her concerts online, and I thought it was a really good rendition.
