R.I.P. Sandy German
George Miklas:
It is with sadness that just today I have learned that my friend, Sandy German of Cinncinnati Ohio, has passed on March 16, 2019. I met Sandy when I was 15 years old, at the 1980 Rubber Capital Harmonica Club Festival, held at Quaker Square Mall, in Akron Ohio. Sandy had not played with bass and chord harmonicas before, and was thrilled to play with myself on chord and Herb Eck on bass. Sandy and I were friends ever since.
Sandy was a member of SPAH - the Society for the Preservation and Advancement of the Harmonica. In 2003, Sandy was awarded SPAH’s Pete Pederson Lifetime Achievement Award.
