This one's a bit more involved so you can use up to a hundred words for your answer.
Again, same rules; keep answers short and no discussion on this thread. Open another thread (within this board if you like) for discussion

Bill Morris:
Yes, 35 years ago.  I restarted 4 years ago after my 40th high school reunion where two others from my original harmonica band showed up.

I quit playing when I was in the Army.  I was in an army band over in Germany and played baritone horn in the band.  Playing the baritone in rehearsals and jobs I just got away from the harmonica.  After the service, I didn;t play anything for a good many years.  My wife knew I had played harmonica and for Christman one year she got me one as a gift.  This got me back into playing.

Went to California in 69 & began playing blues in bars and strip joints. Somehow I got my head turned around and left the scene. On the way back  home to Ohio, I got my heart turned around at 4:p.m. on Christmas day, in my car under a bridge on I-70 in Indianapolis. (haven't been the same since  ;D) Got home and started a new life with a new direction. (sold my Fender Jaguar and the harmonicas went in the drawer) Started playing again a year and a half later - gospel music in churches (no more blues)  8)

Hard to say I actually started way back when; I never really learned to play, although I had a 260 Richter and, later, a Chrometta 12 (still have them). This was in Middle School to early adulthood. One didn't have all the notes, and I couldn't get single notes on the other. I went on to other instruments over time.

Slow forward about 35 years to 2004. I found my old harmonicas, and had the idea to learn chromatic in case my arthritis caught up to my flute playing.

Seven years later I have acquired several chromatic harmonicas. I still play the Chrometta 12 occasionally.
