Too Much Birdseed

(1/1)

Gnarly He Man:
Speaking of the relative difficulty of playing chromatic harmonica . . .
Here is tune you may know, the title is I Was Kaiser Bill's Batman, it was a hit! Featuring whistling, you can find the video on YouTube.
Original title was Too Much Birdseed, and I wrote some words, but I did not include them in this video. I do, however, play the diatonic harmonica, switching harps as the melody modulates from Bb to B to C.

Hope you like it!

A Cook/Greenaway classic—they also wrote the Coke commercial.

Here’s the video—the guy is an actor, not actually whistling.

The tune is completely diatonic, try playing along with the third key—it’s C, so no button required on a chrom (and no bend necessary to get La)!

Since the melody is diatonic, playing it on chromatic gives you a chance to practice scales and arpeggios. Again, try it in C first, then add flats until you get sharp!
Since my tuning (bebop) has a Bb given, I should be able to play it without the button—don’t make me make another video.
