Yeah, you're right: Solo makes no sense! But I'm finally getting a handle on it, and at 77, I really don't have the time to go back to "Twinkle twinkle Little Star." Now, if I were younger, Oh yeah! I'd jump in with both feet.
Yeah, that makes sense, AJ. As it's been said before, Dimi is not something you pick up for a quick advantage, like country diatonic or paddy richter. It's more in the start-from-scratch territory.On the other hand, one can be learning it and still be able to play Solo like they always have. So at some point, you can use whichever one works best for the situation. (This is especially true with diabolics, as a dimi 10-hole can really add to what can already be done on richter).
