I found the 10 hole Chrometta very exasperating to play. It's basically an orchestra tuned 8 holer. The tone was still there, but other than that, I hated it like a snake.

The European models are generally better than the Chinese jobs, 1M0
My "Power-14" was Czech made, my other two were Czech made, and three students I've had over the years bought the Chinese models (all of which I actually I played) and none of them came close to the Czech jobs, (just sayin') so my opinion is still my opinion. Maybe someone should ask Brendan his opinion on the subject.
Hey,a little luck can go along way. Roman
I have 2 issues with the Chrometta. If played more than 30 or 40 minutes my mouth muscles tire. No other harp causes this. Second issue is the long slide throw and less than stiff spring precludes fast play. Neither are real problems for me. I just put it down when I tire and I use my other chrome if a song needs the faster slide. I like the Chrometta and would definitely replace this one if I ever lost it.
Yes.
Not in my experience. I had a somewhat longer session with my (since traded) Chrometta 14, and found that the side of my tongue got sore the more I played with tongue block. A pucker may make the lips sore, but doesn't involve the tongue. The webs between embouchure holes are narrower than any other harmonica, even though the holes are spaced the same as any other Hohner chromatic. A such, they affected my accuracy, too. Although meant as an introduction to chromatic harmonicas, the Discovery 48 is much better in that respect among Hohner harmonicas.Tom
Inexpensive and 14 holes is why I got one, but it was nearly unplayable out of the box. But it whetted my appetite enough to get an SCX 56, which I enjoy a lot more. The biggest selling point of a Chrometta is tone. I was playing my Chrometta 14 in the car, one-handed, which may have contributed to my sore tongue. Tom
Keep at it. It does get better.Tom
