"Notify me"

I think that at this moment the website is not notifying me of comments to topics that I have started. Nuts.  I know Mzter A is trying hard, but he is just one guy and he has to take time to squeeze his wife now and then. I'm sure he has other bills to pay, and we can't expect him to solve everything all the time. Thanks for trying though.

Not certain if there's a special "notify me" option.  I'm on the site every day anyway just to look at "new stuff".  If I just sign on, click at the top on "Show me unread posts since my last visit" or "Show new replies to your posts" ... I'm covered.  Works fine as far as i can see.

I can help with that. Didn't know how it was before, but you have to enable this option when you post or reply a message. Click on the plus sign below the text enter box and check "Notify me of replies".

There's also a setting under the "Notifications" folder where you can ask for email notifications.  I've never tried that since I check the site often.  I already get too many emails!

Maybe that setting is what Ed is questioning?  Not sure.

By the way Fabio:  If I'm on the SlideMeister.net site and click on the top left picture of the word SlideMeister with the harmonica under it, it takes me to the
.com site.  From there, if I click on "Our Forum", it takes me to the archived .com forum and not the new .net forum.

Yeah, I just did some work on those buttons a couple days ago, and they're working fine for me now, so it must be your cookies. 

Yeah cookies, cache and browsing history drive me nuts. Every time something changes justa little bit, stuff quits working. Where's "AI" when ya need it?

Yeah, 98% of my emails end up in the trash (on a dozen email addresses, that works out way over 200. I'd count them all but that would be adding insult to injury) Like on my phone, I'm putting a new message on there that says's somethin like "This phone doesn't ever ring - just leave a message or I'll block you". I think that'll work fine.

FTR: if you don't personally know the sender or have never communicated with them in the past, redirecting their emails directly into the "garbashe" saves you a lotta time. I use a feature that saves me a lotta grief. It's this thing. Cuts SPAM down to just about nothing and ensures that genuine stuff get through to me. Works great!  It would be more work to maintain, but I was considering offering it as a perk, to president's Clubbers.  Another idea is set up a simple "JoeBlow@SlideMeister.com" with the spam filters our hosting company provides

Yeah, I'd personally like to whittle it down to maybe three emails, and "poop-can" can the rest.
