Managed to slide in!

Hello everyone,

I have been playing a Marine Band off and on for years, same with the guitar and banjo.

I just wasn't satisfied with the limited range of the diatonic and wanted something more. Every beginner harmonica instruction site and tutorial all counsel newcomers to stay away from chromatics. But, I took the plunge and purchased a Hohner chromatic from Sweetwater and couldn't be more satisfied. I finally have all of the notes I have been looking for.

I recently found SlideMeister.  SlideMeister has been the only source I could find for additional information to supplement a chromatic instructional text I found on the big box book store in the cloud.

I'm a seasoned senior that answers ol' curmudgeon. I hope to learn and contribute here.

Welcome Fos 1. You’re in great company here…and MANY of us fit the “seasoned citizen” description. I picked up the chromatic at age 72, about 5 1/2 years ago, and knew nothing about it. I soon found SlideMeister, and have found it to be a fount of information, instruction and support in my journey so far. In addition, I’ve made really good friends here who share a love of music and a fascination for our wonderful instrument.
