Please suggest a tuning program that I can download
« on: April 26, 2024, 11:29:12 PM »
I am using a Korg TM-50 tuner/metronome. I want to see how a tuning program works. Please name a tuning program that I can download. Name your preferred program.

These FREE sites are recommended:

www.seventhstring.com (harmonica tuner)

www.dirksprojects.com (harmonica tuner for
single-reed per note, or double-reed per note
harmonicas.) This website offers a FREE trial,
and a full-system tuner.

www.musicstudents.com (play-along; prints music)

www.ronimusic.com (slows down the tempo)

Best Regards, Stay in Tune

Age is referring to my solo setup for live looping.
New video before too long, Blue Bossa, with some harmonica.

Is "live looping" related to the topic of tuning programs?

Thank you for making suggestions.
Do the downloadable programs have advantages over a handheld Korg tuner?

A Korg Tuner you can use offline - anywhere, anytime. And you rarely have to think about charging it. It runs like a Dunlap bunny.

Servus,
If you had Soundkorset, gStrings, Korg all operating and sitting on your desk with batteries and power supplies in good condition
- which would you prefer?

I'd prefer the Korg TM-50, Ed. I only use apps as a quick fix. I have a D'Addario atached to my mandolin - and if all else fails a tuning fork. I do however play Wordle on my phone.

Some of my reeds had been rubbing on the sides of the reed slots. After I fixed that, my Korg 20 behaves a bit better. If that had not improved, I was going to download (and pay for, if necessary) the app that Gnarley suggested.
-The refurbishment of my recently acquired Hohner 64X is giving marvelous results.

I have a BOSS TU-12EX chromatic tuner.
The company offers one model for guitars,
and one for keyboards.

Nobody in the Milwaukee area had the BOSS
brand, so I ordered the keyboard model through
the music instrument retail store at which
I taught.

BOSS sent the guitar chromatic tuner, but I
ordered the keyboard tuner.

I didn't want to wait an extra 8 weeks, so I
use the guitar tuner. It works fine, but it's a
guess that the guitar tuning is not the best
for slide chromatic harps, keyboards and
pitched percussion.

Best Regards, Stay In Tune

Tuners all over the place; you can even use on-line tuners. Here, I have a clip-on job on a guitar somewhere, got a fancy one hanging on the wall behind my Strat, and I even have one in my 20 year Boss SE-70. The last two pieces of gear I sold recently had tuners in them. Like I sed: all over the place.
