Song of the Day 9-7-20. "Blue Eyes"
« on: September 07, 2020, 12:46:49 PM »
This one's kinda different. All I got this morning was the first line (yeah, kinda like an ear worm) cuz I'm unfamiliar with the whole number; the melody's haunting and just complicated to make it interesting AND hard to remember.  Here it is in B flat by Elton John (of course)

I've got a sequence, so I just tried--super easy, 'course I have a Bb given on my C harmonica.
I am tempted to throw a video up, but who cares?
Lovers of clams, that's who . . . "I could play that better . . ."

Good song, and a cool video but no doubt the recording was made in a studio.

That was definitely a younger Elton. He looked pretty good there. I personally think he shouldda stuck with that cool, western get-up.

As requested, “be careful what you wish for”.

I really tried to play only the notes in my head, but somehow, some clams occurred.
Nevertheless, this is probably as good as I can do.
The legato movement from the G to the B-flat is only possible because of the tuning of my harmonica.
You can’t do it on yours, can you?

That's the 14 hole Sirius. I think my 12 hole plays better!
